A hulu pendant carved from natural Grade A (Type A) jadeite, untreated and accompanied by a lab certificate. The hulu, or gourd (葫芦), is one of the most loved forms in jade, its twin lobes long associated with health, blessings and the gathering of good fortune. This stone is largely white with good water - a clear, glassy translucency - and carries a sought-after floating flower (piao hua, 飘花) pattern, where soft drifts of colour appear suspended within the jade. It is finished with a silver-plated bail. Natural cotton is visible inside the stone, the mark of authentic untreated jadeite. Measuring 41 x 25 x 5mm and 13.38g, it is entirely one of a kind.
