Both, depending on the piece. Smaller carved pendants are made to wear; larger sculptural pieces are meant for display. Each listing says which, with dimensions and weight.

Is the carved jadeite treated in any way?

No. Every carving is natural, untreated Grade A jadeite. Visible cotton, stone lines, and colour variation are disclosed and are signs of a genuine stone.

Carvings

Carvings are pieces meant to be held and looked at rather than worn: animals, figures, and traditional motifs worked from a single stone. The carving is judged alongside the jade itself: how well the design uses the stone's colour, where the carver placed a vein or a patch of green, how clean the finish is. Each is one of one, and its natural characteristics are photographed rather than hidden.
