Our Standard

Genuine Grade A jadeite, priced so you can actually own it. Here is how we keep it real and keep it affordable.

Always genuine Grade A

"Grade" in jadeite refers to whether the stone has been chemically treated. We carry only Grade A - 100% natural jadeite whose colour and translucency are exactly what nature produced. We never sell dyed (Grade C) or polymer-impregnated (Grade B) stone, regardless of how convincing it looks.

Why our prices are lower than most jewellers

Fine jadeite is usually expensive because of two things: the gold it's set in, and the dealer markup. We remove both.

  • We set our stones in sterling silver, plated silver, gold-plated, or brass alloy (合金). The jadeite is the value; the metal shouldn't triple the price. Every piece tells you exactly what its setting is.
  • We source directly and sell directly, with no boutique middleman.
  • The setting type is listed on every single piece, so you always know exactly what you're paying for.

Burma and Guatemala: both genuine Grade A

Most fine jadeite comes from Burma (Myanmar), but Guatemala produces beautiful natural jadeite too. Both are genuine Grade A. We tell you the origin of every piece so you can choose with full knowledge. See Authenticity for the difference between them.

A note on certificates

Some of our lower-priced pieces are sold without a lab certificate, simply because a certificate costs money to obtain and would push the price up. This never means the piece is any less genuine. Every stone we sell is 100% real Grade A jadeite. Where a piece includes a certificate, it says so clearly on the listing. For any piece, you are always free to have it tested at an independent gemological lab of your choice, backed by our authenticity guarantee.

What you receive

Every piece arrives with a silver polishing cloth (your silver setting will keep its shine with a quick buff) and a printed care guide, plus the lab certificate where one is included.
