Floating Flower Jadeite

Floating flower, piao hua (飘花), describes colour that drifts through a paler, more translucent body: threads and patches of green, blue-green or lavender suspended in icy white, like petals in water. Because the colour sits inside the stone, it moves as the piece turns, and no two patterns are alike. It is one of the most collected effects in jadeite, especially in bangles, where the colour can wind around the whole circle. When you choose, look at where the colour falls as much as how much there is: a pattern that sits well on the wrist or at the centre of a pendant matters more than its quantity. Every piece here is natural, untreated Grade A.
