Apple Green Jadeite

Apple green, ping guo lv (苹果绿), is a bright, lively green with a yellowish undertone, the colour of a fresh green apple. It sits a step below imperial green in the trade's order of greens and is far more attainable, which is why it is the green most people actually wear. What separates one apple green piece from another is less the hue than the water: a translucent stone makes the green glow, an opaque one shows it as a flat, even colour. Expect natural colour variation and some cotton; in untreated jadeite they are part of the stone, and we point them out on every listing.

Frequently asked about

What is the difference between apple green and imperial green?
Imperial green is a fully saturated emerald green with high translucency, the rarest and most expensive jadeite. Apple green is brighter and more yellow-leaning, and far more attainable while still being a classic, sought-after colour.
Is the green dyed?
No. Every piece is natural, untreated Grade A jadeite. Natural green is rarely perfectly even, so a little colour variation is normal and is disclosed on each listing.
