Description
A jade cabbage pendant carved from natural Grade A (Type A) jadeite, untreated and certified. The Chinese cabbage (白菜, báicài) is a beloved jade motif: the word sounds like 百财 (bǎicái), a wish for a hundredfold wealth and prosperity, which is why a cabbage is so often given to mark new beginnings. This piece shows a vibrant apple green and is semi-translucent, letting light pass gently through the carved, leafy folds. Natural cotton inclusions sit within the stone - characteristic of genuine Grade A jadeite, not imperfections. It measures 40 x 25 x 9mm, weighs 10.5g, and is finished on a top-graded cord. One of one, as every piece here is.
Measures 40 x 25 x 9mm and weighs 10.5g. The stone is translucent. It carries natural cotton (棉). Grade A jadeite from Myanmar (Burma), set in top-graded cord.
