A lavender jadeite pendant in natural, untreated Grade A (Type A) jade - a single smooth bead of the soft purple colour that collectors prize. Lavender, or purple, jadeite is among the rarer hues the stone produces, and in Chinese tradition the colour carries the idea of 紫气东来, the auspicious "purple mist from the east." This 20mm bead has a cool, smooth feel and is semi-translucent, letting light pass gently through. In honest disclosure, natural stone lines (石纹) run within it - an expected characteristic of genuine jadeite, not a crack or a treatment.
