A Ping An Kou pendant - the round "safety buckle" (平安扣) - carved from natural, untreated Grade A (Type A) jadeite. The ping an kou is one of the oldest and most giving of jade forms: its smooth, unbroken circle traditionally carries a wish for peace, safety and a life that runs without obstruction, which makes it a classic gift between family. This stone is semi-translucent with soft green and white hues, and light cotton (棉) is visible within - a natural sign of genuine jadeite. It hangs from a silver-plated bail and, at 30mm, sits comfortably for everyday wear. Like every piece, it is one of a kind and backed by our lifetime authenticity guarantee.
