A large lavender jade Wu Shi Pai pendant carved from natural Grade A (Type A) jadeite, untreated and certified by lab report. The Wu Shi Pai (无事牌) is the smooth, mostly plain tablet whose name means "free of trouble" - traditionally worn as a quiet wish for a calm, uneventful and therefore peaceful life. This generous plaque, 60 x 45 x 4mm and 47.9g, shows an unusual and desirable blend of lavender purple and green across its face. Natural cotton (棉) sits within the stone, the soft cloud-like wisps that confirm genuine, untreated jadeite. It is finished with a sterling silver (S925) clasp. A distinctive, one-of-one collector's piece.
