A hulu (gourd, 葫芦) pendant in natural, untreated Grade A (Type A) jadeite. The hulu is the little emblem of blessings and well-being, its paired curves long seen as a gatherer of good fortune - an easy, meaningful piece to wear or to give. The jade shows a gentle green and is semi-translucent, so light passes softly through the carved body. In honest disclosure: the back keeps a distinct stone texture and is not flat to the touch, and fine cotton (棉) and stone lines (石纹) are visible within - all natural characteristics of genuine jadeite.
