Meaning, Symbolism & Cultural Context · cabbage
The cabbage motif (白菜) depicts a napa cabbage, a traditional symbol of wealth and prosperity due to its abundant leaves and the homophonic nature of "cabbage" (白菜 báicài) with "hundred wealth" (百财 bǎicái).
It is often chosen as a gift to wish someone enduring fortune and a life filled with abundance, or worn as a personal charm for prosperity.
